Every five years, the Office of Statistics collects information on the health of the Liechtenstein population. In the third health survey in 2022, 982 randomly selected people in Liechtenstein were surveyed. The results are now published in three publications on the statistics portal:
Health-related behaviors such as physical activity, diet or alcohol consumption as well as the use of gambling services or digital media are among the determinants of health. Housing and working conditions are also included here.
A second block consists of information on health status. Here, respondents were asked about the frequency of illnesses and complaints, but also about mental health and the use of medication. In 2022, additional information was collected on the state of health in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A third publication presents information on the use of the healthcare system. In addition to data on consultations with doctors, data on the treatment of mental health problems and on paramedical and complementary medical services are also presented. Data is also provided on medical and nursing care in hospital, at home or in informal structures, as well as on prevention. There is also information on other topics such as organ donation and flu vaccinations.
