Legal internship
One of the responsibilities of the Government Legal Services is the training of legal interns. Graduates of law can complete a six-month legal internship at the Legal Services and thus gain insight into its diverse areas of responsibility.
The internship is counted as "practical activity" within the meaning of the Law on Lawyers (Rechtsanwaltsgesetz) resp. the Lawyers' Examination Ordinance (Rechtsanwaltsprüfungsverordnung).
The tasks of the legal interns include the following activities in particular:
- Attending sessions of the Parliament (Landtag);
- Assistence with referendum notices;
- Preparation of legal, often also comparative legal clarifications;
- Supporting the Legal Services team in carrying out the various tasks of the staff unit.
The remuneration is regulated in Art. 20x let. d of the Remuneration Ordinance (Besoldungsverordnung). The rights and duties of employees are set out in the State Personnel Ordinance (Staatspersonalverordnung).
Please send your application for a legal internship with complete documentation (Letter of motivation, CV, certificates, etc.) electronically to [email protected]. If there are any questions, please contact Mrs Sonja Langer on 2366031.
