Practical driving test

To obtain an appointment for the practical driving test of the desired category, send the registration form to the Office for Road Traffic, Gewerbeweg 2, 9490 Vaduz. 

After receipt of the registration form, it normally takes four weeks until the test date. In exceptional cases and in case of high demand, you must expect somewhat longer waiting times.

The practical driving test can only be taken with the personal application and a valid learner's permit.

After passing the driving test, you will receive the driver's license in credit card format (FAK.)

A postponement is possible up to 4 working days before the examination date without cost consequences. In the event of a later cancellation or an unexcused absence, we will have to charge you the entire examination fee.

For registrations for a third practical driving test, please use the registration form third driving test. On this form, a driving instructor must confirm that the driving training has been completed.

To register for a category D practical driving test, a driving practice confirmation must be submitted. The driving practice confirmation must be submitted at the latest when the appointment is made.

No practical driving test

  • Persons who wish to obtain a category AM, G or M driver's license, unless their driving competence is in doubt
  • Holders of a driver's license category C or C1, who want to acquire a driver's license category D1 and during at least one year can show a complaint-free driving experience.

  • to drive in an environmentally friendly and economical manner.
  • The test is carried out according to the general test requirements and adapted to the capabilities of the test vehicle
