Land reserved for agricultural use
General information
A legitimate interest exists if the land to be acquired constitutes land reserved for agricultural use and the acquirer is a national resident in the country or an EEA national who does not have such land for use.
Eligible Persons
The acquirer must be domiciled in Liechtenstein, may be a Liechtenstein citizen, a Swiss citizen or an EEA national.
The acquirer does not have to be a farmer.
Size and location of the land
The land to be acquired may have a maximum size of 2,500 m2. The land transfer authority may deviate from the maximum size in justified individual cases.
Multiple plots of land may also be acquired up to the maximum total size of 2,500 m2.
The land must be assigned to a zone in which no other use is factually permitted except for agricultural use. Forest land is also considered land reserved for agricultural use.
