Exhibition process
Liechtenstein nationals residing abroad (with the exception of Switzerland) can also apply for their passport at the relevant Swiss representation. To do so, an appointment must be made with the relevant Swiss representation by telephone or e-mail. The contact details of the Swiss representations can be found here.
A completed application form is required when applying abroad at a Swiss representation:
The passport photo is taken, the fingerprints are taken and the signature is recorded directly at a registration station at the Swiss representation. You do not need to bring a passport photo with you
The following documents are required:
First issue of a passport:
- Completed application form
- Proof of citizenship or birth certificate for first-time application
Replacement issue (expiry of the validity period):
- Completed application form
- Old passport
Loss of the passport:
- Completed application form
- Loss report (original)
The Swiss representation sends this data to the Migration and Passport Office, which issues the passport and forwards it to the Swiss representation. The person concerned will be informed as soon as the passport can be collected.
