Demonstration objects

Demonstration objects have the purpose of supporting the efficient use of energy as well as promoting the use of renewable energies. They are plants for the use of renewable energies that serve market testing and, above all, enable the economic assessment of a possible market introduction.

Funding Application

Funding application and construction completion certificate must always be submitted incl. all enclosures complete and in paper form. Submissions by e-mail are not sufficient.

Submission amount

• Funding contributions of up to 200`000 CHF can be made to the construction of demonstration objects 
• In particular, the degree of environmental impact, the use of renewable energy, the degree of self-sufficiency, energy efficiency, economic viability, as well as the exemplary effect fall into the weight in the assessment.

Conditions/ Prerequisites/ Important Notes

Forfeiture of the claim The claim for the payment of subsidies expires if the measures are started before a legally binding assurance of the subsidies is available.

Project author The subsidies will only be paid if a competent planning and execution of the measures is guaranteed. 

Termination The assurance of the subsidy is limited in time according to Art. 25 EEG. The measure must be started within one year from the decision on the granting of subsidies and completed within two years.
