Research and Development Cooperation - Synergy of Science and Practice

A company needs a new product or technology, but does not have the strength to manage the necessary technological research and innovation push itself. The National Contact Point for Research and Technological Development (NCP) can help coordinate such collaboration on a national or international level and provide advice. It also gives companies valuable access to new networks.

The NCP keeps local companies that have the prerequisites and interest for research and development cooperation up to date on the latest developments in their R&D fields in a targeted manner according to their needs. It works closely with the relevant stakeholders (research centers, companies, states, associations, etc.). If an opportunity for cooperation presents itself, the NCP will draw the company's attention to it and, if necessary, accompany it in the cooperation.

Through the targeted support of the local companies by the NCP, the chances of success for research and innovation collaborations can be optimized, but always taking into account the needs and conditions in which the company currently finds itself.

As the central hub for research and innovation in Liechtenstein, the NCP supports the government in developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the innovative capacity of the workplace. It has various funding instruments at its disposal. It represents the country of Liechtenstein in EU and EEA/EFTA working groups. Furthermore, it organizes events and workshops.
