Eurydice
Eurydice consists of 40 Eurydice National Units based in all 36 countries participating in the EU Lifelong Learning Program (28 EU Member States, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) and a coordinating central unit based in Brussels in the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA)
The Eurydice network is primarily concerned with how education systems are structured and organized at all levels in Europe. Eurydice provides a variety of information, namely:
- EURYPEDIA: Detailed descriptions and overviews of national education systems (National Education Systems and Policies)
- Comparative thematic reports on specific topics of Community interest (Reports on education topics)
- Indicators and statistics (key figures)
- A range of facts and figures in the field of education (e.g. national education structures, school and academic calendars, comparisons of teacher salaries and teaching hours during compulsory education) Facts and figures
