-
Art. 17 of the Free Movement of Personenfreizügigkeitsgesetzes (PFZG, LGBl. 2009 No. 348) applies to EEA and CH nationals
-
Art. 19 of the Ausländergesetzes (AUG, LGBl. 2008 No. 311) applies to non-EEA and non CH nationals
Scope of application:
All nationals who wish to pursue an education/study in the FL. The L permit entitles the holder to reside in the Principality of Liechtenstein for the duration of their education, whereby the maximum period of validity of an L permit is 12 months. A further L permit can be applied for before an L permit expires, provided that the training in the FL has not yet been completed
Deadlines:
The complete application must be submitted to the Migration and Passport Office no later than 14 days before the planned start of training. For persons who are subject to visa requirements, we recommend submitting the application earlier so that the planned entry date can be met.
General information:
EEA and CH nationals are entitled to pursue gainful employment of max. 35% in relation to their studies/school. A 100% gainful employment is only possible if the gainful employment is an integral part of the education.
Non-EEA and non-CH nationals who are students at the University of Liechtenstein may also pursue gainful employment of max. 35% of their studies, provided the activity is related to their studies. Gainful employment is subject to authorization in all cases.
