Trust service providers (TSPs)
As the competent supervisory body, the Office for Communications is responsible for permanent supervision of compliance with the provisions of the eIDAS Regulation, the Signature and Trust Services Act and the Signature and Trust Services Ordinance.
According to Art. 7 para. 1 of the Signature and Trust Services Act, notification of the intention to provide qualified trust services must be submitted in electronic form to the supervisory body. In addition, TSPs that intend to provide or offer qualified trust services must fulfil special requirements arising from the eIDAS Regulation as well as the Signature and Trust Services Act and Ordinance.
To ensure compliance with all relevant provisions and requirements, TSPs must have a conformity assessment carried out by a conformity assessment body qualified for this purpose before commencing their activities and periodically every 24 months thereafter and submit the corresponding conformity assessment reports to the Office for Communications as the competent supervisory body.
