Transport infrastructure
The Infrastructure Construction/Traffic Engineering Department of the Office of Civil Engineering and Geoinformation is responsible for all constructions and renewals on the existing road network of the main roads in the Principality of Liechtenstein. For the most part, these are measures to improve traffic organization, i.e. to make motorized individual transport more fluid and to give preference to public transport. Other measures serve to improve the infrastructure for non-motorized traffic, such as the additional construction of pedestrian and bicycle paths along existing roads. The individual expansion stages are applied for and approved annually by the state parliament as part of the Transport Infrastructure Report (8.5 MB)
