04/07/2019: Extra charge for paper invoices
The Office for Communications has examined the practice common amongst some operators in Liechtenstein of charging an extra fee for sending an invoice per post.
The Office for Communications has come to the conclusion that no extra charge may be levied for a paper invoice in the field of electronic communications.
This is not aimed at preventing the electronic delivery of an invoice per se. In the light of environmental protection and process efficiency, the Office for Communications supports the electronic delivery of invoices. However, if a subscriber does not want electronic delivery, it must be possible to receive the invoice per post without additional charge.
The Office for Communications gives operators time until the end of the summer to change their systems accordingly and will review compliance in September 2019.
You can find the information letter, which was sent to all retail operators registered in Liechtenstein, here (in German).
