Mpox: Procedure for suspected cases and in case of illness

Procedure for suspected cases:

People with symptoms should immediately contact a doctor. 

• If Mpox infection is suspected, laboratory diagnostics using PCR is indicated
• When dealing with suspected cases, medical staff implements the protective measures in accordance with Swissnoso for infection prevention
• The person concerned is instructed to implement the behavioural recommendations for positively tested persons until the test result is available

Procedure in case of illness: You have tested positive
