"Schönste Bücher aus Liechtenstein"

The "Schönste Bücher aus Liechtenstein" competition enters the next round. The most beautiful books of 2024 will be chosen by a jury of experts in January 2025. The focus of the judging will not be on the content of the publication, but on the exemplary design of the book.

The competition is open to sponsors, book designers, publishers or publishing institutions or private individuals, as well as producers (printers, bookbinders). Books published between 1 January and 31 December 2024 are eligible for this year's competition. The concept, design, realisation and production in particular are decisive for the assessment of the submitted works. Further information can be found in the competition rules.

The closing date for the national competition is Monday, 23 December 2024.

The "Schönste Bücher aus Liechtenstein" competition has been held annually since 2001.

National and international competition

The submitted publications are each judged by a jury of experts. The focus of the judging is not the content of a book, but the exemplary design of the book.

The national competition is also a qualifier for Liechtenstein's participation in the international competition "Schönste Bücher aus aller Welt/Best Book Design from all over the World" in Leipzig. All books that receive the rating "Ausgezeichnet" from the jury will be submitted to this competition and shown at the book fairs in Leipzig and Frankfurt.

Presentation and certificates

The "Schönste Bücher aus Liechtenstein" competition concludes with a presentation of the award-winning books. The certificates for the award-winning books 2024 will also be presented at this event in spring 2025.
