Data protection notice

In accordance with Art. 13 and Art. 14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we, the Office of Civil Engineering and Geoinformation, as the responsible body, inform you below about the manner and background of the processing of your personal data in connection with our activities. The following information applies equally to contractual partners in the field of project planning and construction of transport infrastructure, applicants and applicants for traffic orders and signalization, landowners in the context of land acquisition, persons who obtain geodata from the geodata infrastructure and other persons affected by data processing.

The primary purpose of processing personal data is to fulfill the legal mandate incumbent on us as a public authority 

 

Data to be processed

 

We primarily carry out the following processing activities:

  • Project planning, construction and maintenance of transport infrastructure
  • Permits for the  installation of road signaling and traffic regulations
  • Permits for excavation work on public roads and when using public land
  • Conducting the official cadastral survey
  • Development and operation of the geodata infrastructure and the PLR-cadastre
  • Conducting public procurement procedures in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (PPA)

Legal bases

The legal basis for the processing activities in the area of responsibility of the Civil Engineering and Geoinformation Office is generally based on Art. 6 para. 1 let. a to c or e GDPR. If personal data is not processed due to the fulfillment of our legal obligation (e.g. Road Traffic Act, Public Procurement Act (ÖAWG), Surveying Act, ÖEREB Cadastre Act, Geoinformation Act, Building Act) or due to pre-contractual measures or for the fulfillment of a contract, your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 let. a GDPR may be considered as the legal basis in individual cases.

Data to be processed

 

The following personal data is collected, recorded and processed in the course of our activities:

Name, first name, address, company in the case of companies, email address, telephone number and, if applicable, bank details of

  • Providers and contractual partners (master builders, transport companies and building tradesmen)
  • Project planners of transport infrastructure and facilities (engineering offices, planners)
  • Applicants for permits (road signalization, traffic regulations, excavation work on public land, use of public land)
  • Persons who obtain data and extracts from the cadastral survey and the geodata infrastructure
  • Contractual partners in the area of land acquisition (additionally with date of birth, marital status and place of residence for purchase contracts)

Origin of the data

If the personal data is not collected from you personally, it generally comes from the following source: Central Register of Persons (ZPR). In connection with the implementation of public procurement procedures under the ÖAWG, the data is collected via the procurement portal (www.vergabeportal.li) of the Specialized Unit for Public Procurement (FAW). We use information from the Land Register Division for land acquisition, to identify persons affected by construction along transport infrastructure and to carry out official surveying.

Storage period

The storage period for data processing is based on the Ordinance of November 27, 2018 on the Management and Administration of Files in the Liechtenstein National Administration (LLV File Management Ordinance LLV-AVV; LGBl. 2018 No. 264 as amended). If the purpose of the data processing has been achieved and the destruction of your data does not conflict with any statutory retention periods, usually 10 years after the dossier has been closed in accordance with the Persons and Companies Act (PGR), the personal data will generally be added to the respective deletion concept
