Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)
The Strategic Environmental Assessment Act (SEA Act) has been in force in Liechtenstein since May 2007. The purpose of the SEA is to comprehensively identify, describe and assess the direct and indirect effects of certain plans and programs on the environment with the participation of the public while still in the planning stage.
The Handbook on Strategic Environmental Assessment in Liechtenstein provides more detailed information on how SEA can be integrated into planning and is intended to assist authorities in the practical implementation of the SEA process.
