Redevelopment consulting

If a building is getting on in years, the question arises at some point how to proceed: Renew step by step, completely renovate for energy efficiency or even tear down and build new?

Here can be an individual and comprehensive "renovation advice" in terms of building envelope and building services (hot water and heating) an important basis for later decisions.  With the help of an energy consultant, energy weaknesses and potentials of a property can be identified: How much energy does the building consume? How can this demand be reduced?

The planning should be coordinated in such a way that renovation, but also possible modernization and conversion measures make sense in terms of energy as well as economy.

With the consulting report in hand, you can avoid any wrong decisions and thoughtfully make your building fit for the future, step by step.

The amount of subsidy for a single-family or multi-family house depends on the size of the building and the consulting costs:

  • up to 500 m2   flat rate CHF 1`500.-, max50% of costs
  • from 500 m2    CHF 3.- /m2 EBF, max. 50% of the costs

What should a  "remediation consultation" include?

In the context of the consultation the building is to be examined locally and afterwards the ACTUAL condition - building envelope / heating / water heating - documented. A first discussion with the energy consultant serves to clarify the task, own needs and the basic starting position. Subsequently, three recommendations for action (at least one minimum, one medium and one maximum variant) should be further elaborated. In addition to the determination of the usual energy indicators, costs and benefits should be shown for each variant. The final report must summarize the recommendations for further action in a way that is simple and understandable for laypersons and should be discussed in a personal final meeting.
