Children and teenagers

The Children and Youth Service is responsible for ensuring the state's share of basic services in the field of children and youth. This area is divided into the specialist area of child and youth welfare and the specialist area of promotion and protection.

  • Child and youth welfare aims to support family systems in meeting the needs of children and adolescents and intervenes where official measures are necessary for the protection / welfare of children and adolescents.
     
  • The children and youth development aims to promote the extracurricular children and youth work. This is done through professional support and advice to individuals and organizations and financial support.
     
  • The protection of children and young people aims to create conditions that protect children and young people from dangers and support them, but also parents and pedagogically active, in dealing with these dangers.
