Self-employed service providers and posted workers must report services of more than 8 days per quarter to the Migration and Passport Office. An electronic reporting system is available for this purpose. The notification of the provision of services must be submitted before the activity commences. Companies or persons domiciled or resident in Switzerland may commence providing services at the earliest 8 days after receipt of the notification.
Up to 90 days
Services lasting more than 90 days require a permit in all cases. Authorizations will only be issued to service providers from Switzerland if the economic interest can be proven. For service providers headquartered in the canton of St. Gallen or Graubünden, proof of economic interest will only be checked from the 121st day. The application for authorization must be submitted at least four weeks before the end of the 90-day period. For services for which it is known in advance that they will last more than 90 days, a permit must be applied for from the outset From 91 days
