Exhibition process
The application for a Liechtenstein passport must be made in person at the counter of the Migration and Passport Office.
The biometric facial image, fingerprints and signature are captured directly on site. You don't have to bring a passport photo.
The following documents are required for the issue of a passport:
First issue of a passport:
- FL identity card (if available)
Replacement issue (expiry of the validity period):
- Old passport
Loss of the passport:
- Loss report (original)
The passport can be collected after 4 working days from the date of application. An express surcharge applies if the passport is issued within 3 working days. If the passport is issued outside of opening hours, there is also a surcharge.
-> Liechtenstein nationals residing abroad (with the exception of Switzerland) can also apply for their passport at the Swiss representation responsible for their country (Application from abroad).
