Specialized Unit for Public Procurement
The Specialised Unit for Public Procurement (FAW) is a Division of the Government Chancellery Staff Unit, which reports directly to the Collegial Government. Day-to-day supervision is exercised by the Prime Minister.
The area of responsibility includes the following key areas:
- Central point of contact and advice for applicants, tenderers, contractors and clients
- Development of strategies, concepts, measures and instruments for the optimal implementation and further development of public procurement
- Creation and evaluation of Statistics on public procurement
- Statistics on public procurement above and below the thresholds
- Working on the definition of European Union directives and drafting proposals for their transposition into national laws and regulations
