Equality between women and men
The Equal Opportunities Department carries out its tasks of promoting equality between women and men under the gender mainstreaming approach. This approach counteracts the usual stereotyping and puts people at the center. Gender mainstreaming addresses all persons at all hierarchical levels who participate in shaping society and aims to achieve that negative effects of gender relations and societal gender perceptions are overcome.
Women as well as men should benefit from gender equality work.
