Notification obligation
In exceptional cases, a notification of space activity is sufficient and does not require authorisation under Art. 4 of the Space Act. This applies if:
- a Liechtenstein citizen conducts a space activity from another country, i.e. the space activity has already been approved and is supervised by another state (see Art. 6, para. 1, let. a);
- the space activity is limited to a payload; for example, if a Liechtenstein research object is transported into space as a "payload" with a rocket (see Art. 6, para. 1, let. b of the Space Act).
The required details and documents for the notification of a space activity under Art. 6 of the Space Act are specified in Art. 5 of the Space Ordinance.
The Office for Communications is available to assist you at any time for enquiries regarding notification.
