Government legal advice

The Government Legal Services is responsible for the following tasks on behalf of the Head of Government or the Government in particular:

• Providing legal expertise and statements and processing draft decisions
• Providing legal advice to the Government and members of the Government
• Providing legal information to public offices and commissions
• Preparation of legislation

The Legal Services is not, however, a general point of contact for private legal information. For this purpose, please contact the respective competent public offices in administrative matters and the judicial trainees at the Court of Justice regarding private law.
