School ICT

Information and communication technologies (ICT) are an integral part of our everyday lives:
Emails, text messages and community platforms have led to constant accessibility and have had a lasting impact on our communication behavior. Computers and the internet accelerate work processes in both our professional and private lives.

The Liechtenstein curriculum (LiLe) ensures that children and young people acquire sufficient IT and media skills at school to be able to successfully navigate an increasingly digitalized world. The school ICT project lays the foundations for the acquisition of skills by providing all schools with modern IT resources (Wi-Fi, mobile devices, software, etc.).

This general overhaul of school IT opens up completely new possibilities for schools in terms of methodological and didactic approaches to teaching as well as individualized and independent learning. The new information and communication technologies should be seen as tools that will usefully complement tried-and-tested forms of teaching in the future.

Further information on the school ICT project is available at www.lile.li

Microsoft products are used successfully in all schools in Liechtenstein to implement the Liechtenstein curriculum (LiLe). Microsoft has decided to further increase security in the IT sector in order to better protect users' accounts from unauthorized access. For this reason, Microsoft is now introducing multi-factor authentication (MFA). This means that pupils and all teaching staff must log in to Microsoft 365 services using a second method (Microsoft Authenticator app or token) in addition to their password when using the school network.

Data protection and data security are very important. Pupils, teachers and parents are entitled to have their personal data used in the school sector in accordance with the
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All information on data protection can be found here
