The national colors
The national colors are blue-red. They are used in flags, banners, pennants and standards.
The flag consists of a rectangular cloth loosely attached to a pole with a cord, made of two quest stripes of equal width, blue above, red below. In the blue stripe, towards the pole, the prince's hat in gold is attached.

The banner consists of a long hanging rectangular cloth of two longitudinal stripes of equal width, blue on the left, red on the right, attached to a crossbar with the narrow side. In the blue stripe, towards the pole, the prince's hat in gold is attached.
The pennant consists of a small equally divided triangular cloth, blue above, red below. In the blue part is attached the princely hat in gold.
The standard of the sovereign consists of a rectangular cloth of two equal-width horizontal stripes, blue above, red below, with a gold border. Over both stripes is the large national coat of arms

Leading and use of the national colors
All members of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, all national and municipal authorities, all private individuals in the Principality of Liechtenstein, and the diplomatic and consular representations of the Principality of Liechtenstein abroad have the Legal Division to display and use the national colors blue-red in flags, banners, and pennants.

The Legal Division to use the colors of the Princely House gold-red in flags, banners and pennants is exclusively reserved to the members of the Princely House of Liechtenstein.
The Legal Division for the use of the colors of the Princely House gold-red in flags, banners and pennants is granted to the members of the Princely House of Liechtenstein, the national and municipal authorities, as well as to all private individuals in the Principality of Liechtenstein during local festivities and events.
