Health promotion
In order to increase the well-being, health and performance of teachers and thus improve the quality of teaching, an occupational health management system for school staff was implemented in addition to various measures to reduce the workload for teachers, which is described in the Concept for Occupational Health Management in Public Schools (BGM Schools)
Organization
Since 2007, the position of Health Coordinator has been supporting schools in the implementation of health projects
Network of health-promoting schools
Since 2007, Liechtenstein has had a regional network of health-promoting schools and is thus a member of the Swiss Network of Health-Promoting Schools. Schools can become members of the regional network with a three-year program. They receive financial and professional support in implementing their program and are awarded a quality label.
Ongoing projects
- The traveling exhibition "My body belongs to me!" is offered every year for the 3rd grade of elementary school. The aim of the exhibition is to prevent abuse and sexual violence.
- The "Love Limits" course, which is designed for secondary schools, revisits the topic of sexual violence, focusing on sexual violence among young people.
- The "WALK'N'BIKE TO SCHOOL" competition is designed to encourage secondary school pupils to actively move on their way to school
- The "Trialogue" school project, in which those affected by mental disorders and their relatives talk about their lives, serves to de-stigmatize mental disorders.
The "FlickFlack" project is a health and exercise project for all compulsory schools in Liechtenstein. The FlickFlack coach and the team of multipliers support teachers and pupils in increasing their body awareness and health literacy. At the same time, they create Flick Flack tools that help to make everyday school life healthy and active and can be implemented efficiently and easily by everyone involved
