Procedure for change of residence

If you change your place of residence (move) within the country:

  • Register with the school management of the school previously attended
  • Register with the school management of the new municipality of residence or the new school district

    • When moving from abroad:

    a) For German-speaking pupils:

    • Kindergarten and elementary school: Registration with the school management of the municipality of residence
    • Secondary school: Contact the Office of Education regarding assignment to the appropriate school type

    b) For pupils who speak a foreign language:

    • Registration at the Office of Education

    The prerequisite for admission to a Liechtenstein kindergarten or school is a valid residence permit.

    When moving away from Liechtenstein:

    • Register with the school management of the school previously attended
