Prime Minister Deputy Monauni meets Federal Minister of Agriculture Özdemir and State Secretary Kühn in Berlin

On Monday, November 7 and Tuesday, November 8, 2022 Prime Minister Deputy Sabine Monauni was on a working visit to Berlin. The visit was aimed at strengthening good relations with Germany. The focus was on agriculture and the environment.

Meeting with Minister of Agriculture Özdemir

The talks between Prime Minister Sabine Monauni and German Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir focused on agriculture and climate protection as well as species conservation in agriculture. Other focal points were food security in the context of the Ukraine war and the Liechtenstein Agricultural Policy Report 2022, which was recently adopted by Parliament.

Conversation with State Secretary Kühn

In her capacity as Environment Minister, Prime Minister Deputy Monauni met with Parliamentary State Secretary Christian Kühn of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). She exchanged views with him on the currently pressing issues of climate protection and climate adaptation, the promotion of biodiversity, and the Liechtenstein and German forest strategies.

Working lunch with academic experts and high-ranking officials

At the invitation of Ambassador Isabel Frommelt-Gottschald, the Prime Minister's Deputy attended a working dinner at the Liechtenstein Residence with prominent representatives of the academic community, including members of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and the German Foreign Policy Association, as well as top officials from the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL).
