Prime Minister Risch and Foreign Minister Hasler at the Summer Reception of the Embassy of the Principality of Liechtenstein in Berlin

In the presence of Prime Minister Daniel Risch and Foreign Minister Dominique Hasler, a Reception for high-ranking guests from politics, the Economic Affairs Division, and academia was held for the first time in this form at the Liechtenstein Residence in Berlin on Wednesday, June 14, at the invitation of Ambassador Isabel Frommelt-Gottschald.

In the presence of Prime Minister Daniel Risch and Foreign Minister Dominique Hasler, a Reception for high-ranking guests from politics, Economic Affairs Division and academia was held for the first time in this form at the Liechtenstein Residence in Berlin on Wednesday, June 14, at the invitation of Ambassador Isabel Frommelt-Gottschald. 

In order to more closely link the various levels of the federal capital with their Liechtenstein counterparts and to expand contacts with various associations and think tanks, the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister were accompanied by a Liechtenstein delegation. In addition, representatives of Liechtenstein companies with branches in Germany were invited, which are links and proof of the close economic ties between the two countries.

The invitation of the host was accepted, among others, by the Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport, Volker Wissing, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Katja Hessel, former Federal President Joachim Gauck, former President of the Bundestag Norbert Lammert, numerous members of the Bundestag as well as Ambassadors of friendly states, media representatives and many other guests. At the invitation of the Prime Minister, the Austrian Minister of Finance Magnus Brunner also attended the Reception.

Both the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister used the occasion to exchange views with the representatives from Berlin on an informal level in the garden of the Liechtenstein residence. "I am very grateful to the Liechtenstein Ambassador Isabel Frommelt-Gottschald for inviting to this certainly soon traditional Liechtenstein Reception in Berlin. This format and the quality and quantity of the guests show that Liechtenstein is perceived and appreciated as a European partner" said the Prime Minister. The Foreign Minister added "this is by no means a matter of course. The very good relations and the partnership togetherness are maintained and deepened with occasions like this."

Prior to the Reception, the Prime Minister delivered a keynote address entitled "European Impulses from Liechtenstein" at the "European Economic Conference" of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), which was also attended by Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens), SPD Federal Chairman Lars Klingbeil and Austrian Minister of Finance Magnus Brunner. The annual conference was titled "The Transformation of Europe" to discuss issues facing the German economy, which is undergoing a transformation under the impact of the energy crisis and inflation. The Prime Minister finally used the visit for a media appointment with n-tv, where he highlighted the stable role of Liechtenstein's economy and financial center as a resilient, European model.
