The Geneva-based non-governmental organisation HURIDOCS receives a contribution of CHF 95,000 for its documentation fund on human rights violations.
Thanks to Liechtenstein's support for the documentation fund, HURIDOCS is able to support a large number of human rights defenders. The Documentation Fund now manages over 530,000 files and more than 300 HURIDOCS partners worldwide use the Documentation Fund's tools. In 2023, the fund supported HU-RIDOCS partners in Kenya, Tunisia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo as well as partners in the Asia-Pacific region. The Liechtenstein contribution in 2024 will enable HURIDOCS to significantly advance the work of the fund. For over 40 years, HURIDOCS has focussed on collecting and analysing evidence of human rights violations. To this end, HURIDOCS works closely with leading human rights organisations and UN mandates and is perceived within the international community as a highly professional NGO that makes a significant contribution to the promotion of human rights.
