Data Protection Day 2025

Full speed ahead into the future: what does my car know about me?

Digitalization is changing our world at a rapid pace, and the automotive industry is not immune. Modern vehicles are now equipped with a wide range of sensors and digital technologies that not only improve the driving experience, but also collect a wealth of data about their users. But who knows what exactly about us? What information is collected and how is it used?

At the 19th Data Protection Day, we invite you to take a deep dive into this topic together with experts. Keynote speaker Markus Reuter from netzpolitik.org will explore this question in relation to current journalistic research. This input presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with Marie-Louise Gächter (Head of the Data Protection Authority) and Franziska Füglistaler (cardossier) on further developments as well as ethical and legal aspects.

The event will take place on Tuesday, January 28 at 5:30 pm in the community hall in Triesen . It will be an opportunity to learn more about the future of digitalized mobility and to actively participate in the discussion about data protection in the automotive industry. We look forward to an inspiring exchange!

Afterwards, the Data Protection Authority invites you to an aperitif. Admission is free.

For organizational reasons, we kindly ask you to register by 24 January 2025 via this link.
