National thresholds
The national thresholds for contracting entities "bodies governed by private law" in the area of direct awards and negotiated procedures are defined in Articles 25, paragraph 3 and 26 of the Public Procurement Ordinance (PPO). Above these contract values for direct awards or for negotiated procedures, the open or restricted procedure(Article 22, paragraph 5 of the Public Procurement Act) is generally applicable.

Exceptions to the permitted use of the negotiated procedure are set out in Article 25 of the Ordinance on Public Procurement.
