Open procedure

An open procedure is generally possible for any contract value. In areas where direct award or the negotiated procedure are no longer permitted, an open, restricted or other procedure must be selected.

In the area of
national thresholds, contracts are generally awarded by open or restricted procedure (Article 22, paragraph 5 ÖAWG). Depending on their appropriateness, contracts from contracting authorities in the sectors are awarded by open or restricted procedure, negotiated procedure, competitive dialog or as part of an innovation partnership (Article 33, paragraph 1 ÖAWSG).

The open procedure is a single-stage procedure. Any interested party can apply for the tender documents and submit a tender on the basis of the contract notice. A notice must be published in any case.
