Designation of the procedures

In accordance with Swiss regulations, the award procedures primarily used are designated as follows:

Cantonal thresholds

International Affairs thresholds

Switzerland is a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and has signed the Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA). This means that in Switzerland, tenders above the WTO thresholds must be published internationally.

The publication of contracts in the area of national thresholds can be found in the official gazettes of the individual cantons. In addition, some cantons publish them on the SIMAP (Système d'Information sur les marchés publics en Suisse) homepage.
