Total tax revenue from the state and municipalities amounted to CHF 1,039.7 million in the 2022 financial year, meaning that total tax revenue exceeded the 1 billion mark again in 2022. This was only the case once before in 2020. At that time, however, it was a one-off effect due to an extraordinary income tax increase. Compared to the previous year, tax revenue increased by 7.1% or CHF 69.3 million in 2022. In the long term, tax revenue shows a positive trend. Over the past ten years, they have increased by an average of 1.5% per year.
