When the indicators are grouped into thematic areas, the trend in five of the ten thematic areas is positive or at least slightly positive. This means that development in these areas is moving towards sustainability. These are the areas of Social Cohesion, Education and Culture, Work, Energy and Climate and Natural Resources. The area of mobility, on the other hand, shows a slightly negative trend and is therefore moving away from sustainability. There is no significant change in the areas of living conditions, health, international cooperation and Economic Affairs Division. The assessment of development in these areas is therefore neutral.
