The national consumer price index (CPI) fell by 0.1% in July 2023 compared to the previous month, reaching 106.2 points (December 2020 = 100). Compared to the same month of the previous year, inflation was +1.6%. The Swiss consumer price index is published monthly by the Office of Statistics for Liechtenstein.
The decline of 0.1% compared to the previous month is due to various factors, including reduced prices for clothing and shoes as part of the clearance sale. Prices for air travel and package tours abroad also fell. In contrast, prices for the para-hotel industry and private transport rentals have risen.
