Drinking water consumption is reduced
Drinking water consumption was lower in 2022 at 768 liters per inhabitant per day (including industrial and service companies) than in 2021 at 799 liters per inhabitant per day. In 2021, 184,200 t of CO2 equivalents were emitted. Greenhouse gas emissions were therefore 1,500 t CO2 equivalents below the previous year's figure. The municipal waste generated fell by 4.5% to 32,424 t compared to the previous year. Income from environmental levies amounted to CHF 66.5 million in 2022
Environmental indicators updated
In the area of Climate, the overall trend is positive, i.e. the development is moving in the desired direction. 2 out of 3 indicators were assessed positively here. In the Air sector, the trend is slightly positive. In this area, 5 out of 7 indicators were assessed as positive. There was no significant change in the areas of Biodiversity, Waste, Soil, Forests and Landscape. The assessment for these areas is therefore neutral. In the area of water, the trend is slightly negative.
