Exhibition process
The application for a Liechtenstein identity card must be made in person at the counter of the Migration and Passport Office from the age of 7.
As a rule, the identity card can be issued directly.
The following documents are required for the issue of the identity card:
First issue of an identity card:
- Copy of FL passport (if available)
- 1 biometric passport photo* (not older than 6 months)
Replacement issue (expiry of the validity period):
- Old identity card
- 1 biometric passport photo* (not older than 6 months)
Loss of the identity card:
- Loss report (original)
- 1 biometric passport photo* (not older than 6 months)
* The photo to be provided for the issue of the identity card must be taken in accordance with the photo sample table. It is recommended to contact specialist stores.
